Georges Jobe

Georges Jobe was born on 6 January 1961. At the age of 18 in 1980 he won his first world title at moto-cross in the 250cc category and was also in the winning Belgian team in the Trophee des Nations and Moto-Cross des Nations. He was runner-up for the 125cc world title in 1981 and 1982 and won in 1983. Then as Suzuki, for whom he rode, pulled out of the sport, he moved up to 500cc, placing second in the championship in 1984. In 1987, on a private Honda, he won the world title, and after an unsuccessful year at 125cc in 1988, he returned to 500cc and became world champion again in 1991 and 1992 for Honda.
